Established in 2022, MAKSAD Art Gallery serves as an exhibition and sharing platform that brings together visual artists living and working in Marmaris and Turkey’s art circles with the local population and visitors of Marmaris.
Since its inception, it has hosted exhibitions by contemporary artists who are either from Marmaris or have chosen Marmaris as their place of residence and production, coming from different regions of Turkey and the world.
Alongside the solo exhibitions it organises and hosts, the gallery offers art lovers a multifaceted programme with dual and mixed exhibitions that aim to establish dialogue between different disciplines, techniques and generations of artists
Galery Organisation
In accordance with the association’s participatory and democratic working principle, the gallery’s programme and calendar, exhibition organisation, set-up, artist talks, gallery tours and other special events are organised by the Visual Arts Officer appointed from within the Association’s Board, Visual Arts Advisors appointed from among active association members, as well as art-loving association members and volunteers.
